Imo hearn never wanted to pay for the rematch and had other ideas. Its backfired massively. Thats why the purse bid was so low and jw vacated. Hearn didn't bid and never looked after his fighter kid on the back of resigning jw.
Hearn was pushing like mad for the rematch when Warrington was with Warren, then suddenly stopped when he signed him. Also said Galahad was a clear winner at the time, then changed his mind and said it was a draw when he signed Warrington.
The rematch hasn't happened no lots of opinions on why . But the answer to the question was yes he beat Barry on 2 of the 3 judges score cards. Thats fact. Personaly I had tyson fury losing to John McDermott all them years back but the result still stands.

Lara was obviously heavy handed but he looked terrible early on. No footwork or movement. Warrington came unstuck against an unknown fighter and by the time he knew he needed to adapt the damage was done. If he has it in himself to box and move he should win a comfortable points decision. If he wants to stand and trade he could get chinned again.

It was the wba regular and ring magazine belt he was chasing and gave up the ibf for. He saw that as more value.
