Witherspoon was harder to hit than AJ and far more skilled than Chisora and the other bum Usyk fought at his debut at heavyweight.

Norton was a good boxer, more skilled than AJ and Chisora.

Usyk has the skills to trouble Larry. But, not enough to actually win. Holmes UD.

He was also smaller than either.
Limited boxer with an iffy chin. Good in his way, but with obvious flaws.

Yeah that's true, but that's prove what exactly? Usyk didn't find much problem with anyone's size, height and reach.
So they will be similar size, same height prolly, and Usyk will just give reach. You think that will win the fight for Holmes?

And we are talking prime for prime, right?
As if we are taking this Usyk at 37,5 years old, we should do the same for Holmes, and you know how that will plays out surely.

Holmes lost against Spinks when he was 35 twice. And at 37 Tyson knocks him out.
Usyk at 37.5 becomes Undisputed against 2 years younger opponent, who had all the advantages over him, including judges, the refs, and the organizer of the fight. Do i need to say more?

He took Bruno`s best shots, he had a better chin than AJ, no way could AJ have taken Bonecrusher`s and neither could Chisora have.

Holmes reach was so important because of his insane, constant jab.

The interesting thing would be that Usk who is normally used to having a huge speed advantage wouldn't have a speed advantage in this fight.

I wonder if Larry Holmes never facing a southpaw is so significant. Tough fight to call. Could see a draw. I'm leaning Usyk

You know… we really have to stop meeting like this.

“laRRy iS onE oF thE MOst SKillED HW’s oF aLL tImE doe!!!”
Little news flash for ya there Spanky… USYK IS MORE SKILLED. You really should start succumbing to the fact that Oleksandr’s skill set is phenomenal and belongs up there with the very best to ever lace ‘em up. Get over it.

Usyk would give larry all he can handle and more

Didn’t Holmes avoid lefties like the plague? I think that right there is pretty telling about what might happen.

How could he avoid southpaws if there was no top 10 southpaw Heavyweight contenders in his era ?

People are underestimating how tough Holmes really was.
Holmes went the distance against prime Holyfield at 42 years of age.

Larry was insanely skilled and had a better jab than Fury does, he may have had a shorter reach than Fury but he still had a longer reach than Usyk, it would have been a great fight.
