You’re very emotional. I don’t need to succumb to anything. If you’ve read my previous posts regarding Usyk, across various threads, you’d see that I’ve repeatedly labelled him as being a genius. I don’t have to get over anything. I’m a huge fan myself.
I would take Fury to beat Holmes any day of the week. Many people here seem to have blinkered vision due to nostalgia. The only heavyweights with a serious chance to beat Usyk were those with fast hands like Ali or Tyson in his prime. For me Usyk is better than Holyfield who faced Tyson in his decline years like Lewis.
Larry Holmes jab is so so so much quicker and sharper then fury’s ..,. I like usyk a lot .. but Larry Holmes lived off his jab Larry Holmes via Dec over usyk
What has nostalgia got to do with it? You yourself have mentioned Ali and Mike Tyson. You choose guys based upon styles, not from what era they were from. A Fury-Holmes fight would have been an intriguing fight.
Because I've watched all these guys fight in real time and many are talking out of there arse because they weren't around. People always think the current era is weak. Its only when you look back in time do you realise its strong. I remember thinking Holyfield was a weak champion at the time. It wasn't long ago many said we need a new super heavy weight division because the current crop are now too big and strong for the heavyweights of the past.
No, Mercer was a plodder at that stage he improved by the time he fought Lewis, Mercer was just a tought brawler with a short reach.
I don`t think Fury is that strong, his KO percentage is poor and not all the heavyweights he didn`t knockout were super heavyweights, plus he wa floored by Steve Cunningham who was a cruiser moving up.
