Strange as it may be to say it, I think it's good to have the old geezer on the broadcast, especially as you never know what silly **** he's gonna spew out. Otherwise, we might get some lame ass boring young guy that doesn't even follow boxing, only took the job cuz he couldn't land a gig commentating on hockey.
You know, to me it seems they brought up Larry to insult the ****ing fighters because HBO were butthurt they incorrectly spent a **** ton of a money and hyped up this fight only for it to blow up in their face. It was like every question he asked Bradley was about the head clash, he might as well've just walked up to him and said "Bradley, how does it feel that you've got a seriously big ****ing noggin?"
You guys are idiots. He was being sarcastic. He was trying to ask a sarcastic question to explain the nonsensical (wrong eye) overreaction of Alexander ("it burns"). He was not literally accusing Bradley of some cheating.
he asked a stupid question to tim bradley along the lines of "did you think that a headbutt would end this fight?" also, he kept bringing up manny pacquaio.....didn't anyone tell him that he has gone to showtime? atschatsch
larrys an *******, but he was clearly poking fun at alexander for quitting, and the weak ass acting/overreacting from the cut the claim was meant to be audacious nobody in their right mind thinks bradley put chemicals on his big ass noggin, not even the old alcoholic larry i liked the question myself, cracked me up
it's pretty sad that it has to be spelled out to like this, for the "slower" ones among us. larry is a G
Ironic that fans talk about Merchant disrespecting fighters, when they are probably the biggest perpetrators.
Merchant rules! I saw him pull out one of those little airport style liquor bottles and down it while commenting, and kept going like nothin ever happened. I'm sure the rest of the crew is amused with this. How come none of the boxers he's interviewed after fights call him out, that'd be kinda funny. "Hey Larry, 'yo breath stank like booze man!"
Im probably one of the few that thinks there is a decent chance alexander wasnt acting. I dont think it was a chemical but the place on the eye, right at the corner where the small cust was (not the big one on the opposite side), it was that eye that he couldnt open and I never seen a cut right at the end like that, its usually above the eye, below the eye but not right at the outer corner of the eye. He could have legitimately had a hard time keeping it open
