Insistence of the Olympic Style Blood Testing: "That's what makes it so puzzling that he has made it a do or don't situation regarding blood testing because he is favored to win the fight anyway. It's almost counterintuitive that if a guy is as good as that and can make so much money, WHY HE IS BEING SO INFLEXIBLE about his position in blood testing?".....

Exactly... And theres two school of thought why Floyd would act like that: 1) He wants to be in Pac's head so he has the mental advantage going into the fight or 2) He's simply afraid of losing is 0... I understand Merchant is a Floyd hater but he actually has a point.

I personally think this is the case. He always tries to win the battle before he enters the ring.

Why wont Manny just take the test? If you cant recover from a blood test in 14 days than theres a bigger problem.

Floyd couldn't give a **** about the sport until he was about to face a guy who his daddy thinks is on roids. Steroids have been a hot button issue for nearly a decade now. If that was his goal, he would have insisted on it sooner and against someone who would agree to it. That way at least there's the precedent.

The reason Manny won't take the tests up to a week b-4....

Urine Drug Tests - for urine drug testing
Urine drug tests are the least expensive of the test methods (from $3 for the home drug test version). Urine tests are considered an intrusive method of drug testing. A urine drug test can be done at home (for example by parents) though require lab verification (lab confirmation)for accurate results. These types of tests detect use primarily within the past week (longer with regular drug use). Urine tests can be affected by abstaining from drug use for a period of time before the test. Urine drug test cups are often temperature tested to insure sample integrity.

    Blood Drug Tests
Blood draw drug testing is the most expensive method of testing. It is considered the most intrusive method of testing. Blood drug tests are the most accurate method of testing and are the least common method
of drug testing (most likely due to cost).

"Paul Williams goes by the nickname The Punisher which doesn't draw much attention to him...I call him The CandyMan and his jab I call the peppermint stick"

OK, now that we have Merchant quotes in a new context what do you think?

Right on. Floyd does what is best for Floyd. This "cleaning up the sport" is pretty weak.

Mayweather's excuse is that he's trying to clean up the sport but we know he doesn't care about it. What was the quote about "cash not legacy"? Mayweather prefers money over his own legacy in boxing, so why would he care about cleaning the sport up? He just doesn't.

If he thought he would win, he'd have fought Pacquiao regardless. He knows how good Pacquiao is and if he thinks he can win, who cares whether the opponent is clean or not? I'm sure Mayweather wouldn't care when he sees his bank balance has jumped by $50m and he still has an 0 at the end of his record.

I personally think Floyd really does care about his legacy and that his whole "cash over legacy" commentary is a facade.

What type of athlete accepts additional testing? Which football, NFL, NBA or sprinters have been asked to take more tests by their rivals?

And Pacquiao has never ducked a test. Just chose not to bend over backwards to suit a rival.

drug testing is much more comprehensive in other sports than it is in boxing...nba, nfl, olympic athletes get tested randomly and year around, so y are people acting like some drug testing is such a crazy idea? there is no reason for a clean athlete to act like this over drug testing unless they have something to hide...yea so a urine test after the fight is good enough?...floyds actions may be self serving but theres no doubting that it is a positive for the sport...people who call blood testing instrusive and all that bs are just idiots
