You could argue Pac. After he lost to Morales he went on a spree of undefeatedness through 5 weight classes.

:huh I'm not sure i said Kell Brook and Pov jumped weight classes. I was marely pointing out just why I think undefeated records are not the be all and end all of boxing. Yup, under closer inspection, I didnt say that.

Armstrong may not have gone through 5 divisons undefeated, but he, along with Langford, Charles and Bobby Fitz all fought the best fighters around, something which cannot be said about Floyd.

Boxers will be remembered for their legacy. After all the millions they make, this is how us fans will remember them. Mayweather's legacy in no way matches up to Bobby Fitz, Langford, Armstrong, Charles, Duran, Moore, Barny Ross, Tony Canzoneri, Greb, Robinson, Leonard (both Sugar and Benny), Gans, Ali, Louis, Ted Lewis, Monzon, Hagler, Pep, Pea, Tunney, Chavez, Hearns, Panama Al, Jimmy Wilde. If you'd like to based legacy on a carefully matched undefeated record, then by all means, rate Floyd up there with the other ATGs like Calzaghe, Rocky :good

Unfortunately that isn't the thread topic. Thanks for your contribution. And Kell Brook has actually fought in 5 different weight classes. He's in.:deal

 So you concede my point that while Floyd is unbeaten in 5 weight classes, his legacy doesnt match up to the greats of the game :good

I'd rather a legacy than an unbeaten record. But thats me. But hey, look up the guys i mentioned, you could learn a lot :good

Pac has done 4 weightclasses undefeated he lost to morales at 130.:deal

Since then he fought at 135, 147, 140 and 150. Even though 150 ain't a weightclass. But I'll give him 4 even though 150 is not a weightclass. He can't have 130 because he was already beaten there.

True, I was just pointing out he had the loss but then didn't lose again while he went up.

Actually I can only give pac 3 weightclasses, the thread title clearly states who went through 5 weightclasses undefeated, therefore 150 ain't a weightclass so I can't give him one for that.:good

What's the point of the thread?

Sure he went through 5 weight classes undefeated but what is actually missing in that 5 weight classes is class.

It is like asking who is the 8 division champion? Sure Pac fought and won a total of 8 division (it coulf have been 10 if he did not skip 2 divisions) but some of those are just like what it is, a foght to get a belt.

    Actually 147-154 is Jr MW.

    Therefore it's 4.

    (I hate catchweights)
