Cotto has the better boxing skillbut to say te better fighter lost is wrong. If you say the boxer with the better technique lost then thats fine but if you keep spewing the better fighter lost then your full of it. The better fighter is the guy that won the fight. That was Margo. He was the better fighter that night. His tecnique was un-orthodox but who cares if it works for him.

Amen to that , margarito got to be thankfull for being "blessed" with an iron chin and a titanium skull, there is no way that you can say he is better BOXER than Cotto. Watching Cotto box is a beauty and enjoyable to your eyes , watching Margarito fight is just watch a one dimentional coming foward simple fighter,,,again Margarito Chin win this fight for him , that's all

No one is sayin Margo was the better boxer, they're sayin he was the better fighter! He took all those head shots to get the shots that would payoff in the end, the body shots! He knew exactly what he was doing and knew when to crank the pressure. he said in the 8th to his trainer that he was ready to knock Cotto out. His trainer fine just be smart about it. Margo maintained his poise all threw the fight! he was the better fighter.

Friend, SOME of us told you all EXACTLY what was gonna happen - that Cotto did not have the chin or stamina to last 12 rounds with Margarito, and he would therefore be stopped late.

Next time, read the posts of those of us who have been following the sport for many years, and have a sense of how these things will go.

    would Cotto be victorious?

I was sick when RJ lost to Tarver but damn I don't think I was as bad as you are right now. Floyd never lost though so I haven't had to deal with it with my absolute favorite fighter.

    '

Actually, it's pretty good. Let's look at a few of 'em

Hatton- Tszyu: said tszyu was past it and ready to be taken. Was only one of a few who picked Hatton

Calzaghe-Lacy: Said JC would outbox the untested Lacy, most were wowed by Lacy's abs

Pavlik-Taylor: predicted Pavlik would knock the overhyped Taylor out

Fraudley-Sprott: was one of only two or three posters on the site to predict Sprott to starch the glass-jawed Harrison.

And there are probably more I'm forgetting. Of course I've gotten some wrong along the way also, but we all do. Predicting fights is a little like picking against the spread in football, anything over 50 percent is decent, and in big fights, I'd venture to say, I'm noticeably over 50 percent.
