Ha ha, I like it. I think that's why Jimmy Young was never popular over here. My advice to any overseas fighters who want to make it in Old Albion is: make sure your name isn't Tony Blackburn or Hairy Cornflake. :good

Since when does the winner by knockout not able to cut it? Nunn was undefeated.

It was a disappointing performance that showed Nunn was clearly not the best fighter on the planet.;)

Esparragoza really had no business in the top ten far less as high as 2 imo.

Good fighter that could box and brawl without doing anything all that well, who's reign ended badly with some awful performances.

barely any real quality wins on his resume either.

That said, he has been underrated since then and deserves at least as much of a mention as the likes of McGuigan.

I think Esparragoza showed enough in the late 80s to be in the top 10; top 2? I would say no, but he was in good form from Cruz onwards, all way though the rest of the 80s.

Villasana was a teak tough fighter with a top 20 all-time chin; Antonio did what McGuigan could not do and got the job done over Cruz. He also defeated Renard who was a solid fighter who had McGuigan on the floor.

Antonio was better than McGuigan, no doubt about that.
