If that's the case i reiterate, why the hell is cotto in the same position he was prior his fight with Pac and Marquez isn't.

Marquez before his lost was p4p number 2. His loss made him shoot down to number 5.

Cotto before his loss was p4p number 7. He still number 7 what gives?

ok, floyd moves ahead of marquez after he beats him- that ones fair enough, m osley moves to three because he had come of a good win over margarito 6 months earlier - i can understand but if he were to move ahead he should have moved ahead in january, hopkins moves to fourth despite not having a fight in 18 months (and i thought if you inactive for a long period of time you were taken off the list

I don't see a problem with dropping one fighter for losing but leaving another in the same position for losing. The manor of defeat, along with the opponent and the weight fought at should all be taken into account. In doing this it could be reasonable to leave one fighter in the same position following a loss whilst dropping another.

I don't necessarily see a problem leaving Cotto at 7 following his defeat by the no.1 guy. For me he looked good in the first few rounds. He was simply beaten by a better man. This doesn't mean he should be dropped down the list. In the case of JMM however it does seem a bit unjust to drop him so much. He was fighting a guy who would under normal circumsatnces (the retirement aside) be ranked above him as well as fighting at two weight divisions higher than in his last fight. Why does losing this fight make him worse P4P than he was before?

My biggest annoyance with the current rankings is that Floyd is no. 2 P4P but no.3 WW (behind Mosley in the WW rankings but above him in the P4P rankings). How the hell do the Ring explain this one?!

Political/money making crap! Can no longer be respected.

Good list. Nice to see Donaire finally get recognition for his skills. I think he deserves #6.

He's been just outside and in the lower top 10.. don't remember him ever being as high as 6, which I think is right.

Interesting to see he's moved up in the last month or so. As far as I remember he hasn't fought at Flyweight since early this year (March/April?) only fighting once since at Jr Bantamweight, yet he's ranked 7th on the Jr Bantam weight list by the Ring. What does this mean exactly? His general boxing skills are being recognised for what he acehived at Flyweight? His boxing skills are being recognised for what he's acheived in the short space of time at Jr Bantamweight? Why 7th on the Jr bantamweight list, not ranked on the Flyweight list, yet still no.6 P4p?

I can only assume the Ring are saying that they think his overall accomplishments make him deserving of a no.6 P4P place but he hasn't done enought at Jr BW yet to be placed higher than no.7 on this list?
