Oleksandr Usyk is ranked 17th in the world P4P, even behind Raymond Muratalla, Benavidez, Stevenson, Davis. Hamzah Sheeraz is Ranked 5th at Super Middleweight, despitle not even having had a fight at that weightclass (and doing nothing at world level at middleweight). And P4P, Sheeraz is ranked highter than Nick Ball, Tyson Fury, Keyshawn Davis, Richardson Hitchins, Anthony Joshua, Callum Smith lol David Benavidez is ranked ahead of Artur Beterbiev at light heavyweighht Fabio Wardley is ranked 5th at heavyweight, ahead of Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua at heavyweight Murat Gassiev is ranked number 9 at heavyweight, and Michael Hunter is 10th. Richard Riakporhe is ranked ahead of Zhang, Pulev and Ruiz. Eimantis Stanionis after just 1 loss has gone right down to 24th at welterweight below numerous unproven or unknown fighters. Jin Sasaki is 3rd (before the Norman fight) Subriel Matias is 2nd at light welterweight, and Andy Hiraoka is 3rd. Steve Claggett is ranked above Gary Antoine Russell.
Usyk behind Muratalla in the P4P rankings is unbelievable - what a ridiculous rating system. Wardley ahead of Joshua in his current form is probably not that bad though, neither is Gassiev and Hunter at 9 and 10, the HW division gets pretty thin around that part of the rankings, and both fighters are solid. But yeah, overall, BoxRec needs to be taken with a pinch of salt.
Wardley ahead of Joshua is terrible. Huni and Clarke vs Parker, Povetkin, Klitschko, Ruiz and Pulev. Yeah he has some losses but I mean come on. And yeah half those were old but still top contenders. Franklin did more getting robbed vs whyte than huni and Clarke have
It's not a great system, the biggest flaw being that when a fighter moves up in weight class he retains his spot. I nonetheless find the ratings interesting, and even if they are garbage-garbage out, it is nice that there is one "mathematical" system out there.
Its terrible but in terms of getting a full 100,200 and 1000 fighter roster theres not a lot of alternatives. I'm not going on boxer rec rankings to see Frank Sanchez ranked 25th I'm going on there to get a look at the landscape of the top 50 and 100.
It amazes me that in 2025, people are still shocked and annoyed by their ranking system. It also amazes me that those dorks never tried to fix the damn thing.
Given the fact the website is run by a bunch of tampon wearing cucks, its no surprise they cannot bring themselves to do some manual intervention when the algorithm throws up a clanger. They are probably too scared to make changes are the little cucks at Cuckrec. The most egregious clangers are not the p4p rankings as that is somewhat objective and does not have much attention. Its those rankings at each weight class which are bizarre. Gassiev hasnt beaten anyone with a pulse at HW, and Hunter's best win at HW is Bakole which is waning with his recent performances and results.
They did change it they used to show their work and put up a rating number. But they got embarassed so they no longer show it.
The thing is, it seems to be getting even worse! I mean if it's a points system, how the hell can Usyk be ranked below Muratalla P4P. That's not even possible. And the way some fighters (especially Japanese, American and some Brits) seem to be much higher than they should be, indicates they might be fixing it in a corrupt way. Maybe they take backhand payments for Ranking boosts. For example, I always remember Jesse Hart always being absurdly higher than he should have been at both at light heavy and cruiser. And the same is now with the likes of Sheeraz, Sisaki, Hiraoka.
Cucks with a feminine mindset get easily embarrassed, its understandable behaviour. Cannot blame them really.
