Now official. Lawrence Okolie has signed with Eddie Hearns Matchroom sport. http://www.matchroomboxing.com/news...signs-promotional-deal-with-matchroom-boxing/ Eddie Hearn mentioned that Okolie will be out fighting at least 3 times before may or something like that. May have heard that wrong though. But Eddie defo said he will fight at least 8 times this year. Im personally really excited for watching him fight. Thoughts?
From what I saw in the Olympics and WSB I don't think he'll come close to winning a world title in such a hard division but time will tell.
I agree with this. Okolie is good, and I think he will get a career like Afolabi. Good but not great. He hasn't impressed me in the WSB so far.
Surprised Hearn is investing in him.Cruiserweight is way too tough and good for him.. loads of beast there Okolie got knocked out in 1 round by Savon in WSB, and he got dopped in the Olympics by him. he doesn't have a good chin. The video has been removed from youtube lol
Always alarm bells when a fighter is getting KO'd in the ams. I shrugged this off when it happened to David Price and then look what happened. Same with Wilder.
