You will grow if you work with weights, it's simple. Nobody on this earth has ever had a session say 30 mins+ using weights and hasn't had growth from it. It's impossible. You know that leg session that last half hour yesterday than you're sore from today? You'll grow from it.
So if I walk into a gym tomorrow and bench just the bar for 10 reps then leave, you're telling me that's enough stimulation to cause growth? I worked with weights, so I'm going to grow right? Think about what you're saying. You have no clue what you're talking about, mate. Are you ignoring the calorie surplus side? If you're not consuming enough calories you're going nowhere.
Also, explain prisoners to me then. Eat next to nothing yet come out swole! They burn more than they eat, that's for sure.
I said 30 mins. So YOU cannot grow from 30 mins sessions? It doesn't take long to take a muscle to failure. Guess what happens once you do that and stop lifting? It grows...
Um. I know you see these stories on the internet about incredibly swole guys leaving prison, it's all bull****. The guys that leave big, went in big. It's impossible to gain size unless you give your body the materials to do so.
Time has nothing to do with it. You said whatever you do in the gym, if it involves weights you'll grow. That is idiotic. How can you not understand that to grow you need excess calories? You clearly have never trained to build muscle in your life. Its not as easy as lift weights for 30 minutes and you'll build muscle no matter what. You really are clueless.
Do you know anyone that went to prison? Because I know a ton of people that went in normal and came out big. Besides, what happens when you take a muscle to failure? It grows. This can be done in no time at all.
Ok. So if we hit the gym and did say tut or BB style (3x10 etc) workouts we couldn't G-R-O-W from that if we didn't eat twice our daily recommended calorie intake? You do know that once you take A MUSCLE TO FAILURE IT HAS NO CHOICE BUT TO REPAIR AND GROW, right? What else will it do?
Hang on. So you're telling me guys like Ronnie Coleman, guys that are nearly 300lbs of muscle, they got that way purely by lifting weights while consuming 2000 calories a day?
You make it sound like that, not me. All I'm saying is, is that no matter the rep range that you do, you will put some muscle on from it. Look at Crossfitters: Aerobic and Anaerobic animals yet are jacked (see Bailey, Khalipa, Froning). Look at Pl'ers: 1RM max monsters. Two very different styles of lifting, but both will put muscle on. And once you take a muscle to failure it will repair and grow from it. How am I wrong on either account?
My point is you can train to failure all you want, if you're not on a calorie surplus you ain't doing **** muscle size wise. You could train to failure and LOSE weight.
