Hey guys, I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this but I think you guys could answer this if your from the area. I'm going to the University of Leicester in September and want to find a nearby place to keep up with boxing. I won't have a car so I'm hoping there's a place nearby.

There is one close by, but they only take you on if you're willing to fight as an amateur, not just train there, its ran by an ex world champion, Chris Pyatt.

I dont remember exactly where it was, but It was next to a mosher club, its on top of the high st in the city centre.

well I've had some amateur fights but I never actually went open class. I probably won't be fighting while I'm there since I'd like to focus on school.

Edit: I just looked up the gym in question and it would be perfect its very close to the campus.

Leicester Nirvana mate - http://www.nirvanaabc.com/index.asp its just on the edge of town, (About a 40 min walk from leicester uni, you might need a push bike to get there) cracking little club the Martin Conception and a couple of other pros train there but they have classes all through the week for all levels.

I've stopped boxing at the moment but went there for a while last year all the coaches and lads are welcoming and its a good atmosphere.
