Lemieux is so crude. Saunders should beat him easily..

Out of the ring in press conferences etc I think he’s an absolute tool. I’m pretty sure i wouldn’t like him if I met him, so i’m not some fanboy. I am a huge fan of boxing though and in the ring the lad is sublime. I get that people think he will fade, that he has a cacky gas tank, that he hasn't got this overwhelming power etc etc The fact is, Saunders (to my knowledge anyway) has never, ever been put on the canvas. This isn't just down to his chin but it’s also due to some sound defensive skills and punishing counter shots.

You can have all the power you want, but if you can’t land clean on the button it means sod all. How many big punchers did Mayweather face? You can have a Bugatti sports car, but if you’re only allowed to drive it round a cul de sac where there’s loads of speed bumps then you’re not going to be able to show off what it’s capable of.

Yes they are, as is N'dam who was mentioned.

Plus he had 2 setbacks early in his career one in which he shot his bolt against an ex champ and against Alcine he had an off night and was never at the races.

He also had a few solid victories prior to his losses, against lesser opponents like Camacho jr and especially Elvin Ayala who lasted 1w rounds with Artur Abraham yet only 1 round with Lemieux.

Nobody is saying they are elite fighters but if you don't think that they are solid then you should go back to wanking over your Canelo poster.

A solid win is a win over an opponent who separates themselves from the rest. When the last "ten" opponents you have wins over have a combined record of 45 losses, you know you're not fighting "solid" opponents. Let the sink.

I'm with you as BJS is slicker than baby oil on a pair of ta tas in the bedroom
Power from the Mule is great but you got to catch the guy first
BJS by razor thin scorecard and I also think he is a dick head

So what wins would be solid wins in your eyes?

You rate Charlo as "elite" you said so in another thread.

Well use Charlo as an example outside of a very close victory over Trout his opponents have been less than impressive in stature as to Lemieux who you call a joke.

Oh by the way Charlo's last 10 opponents have a combined loss record of 44....1 less than Lemieux.....so you know he's not fighting "solid" opponents.....LMFAO.....LET THAT SINK IN.

U seem to have quite strong opinions of Lemieux opposition. So lets be critical and look those solid win that I mentioned. Saunders best win is Lee who took a beating against Brian Vera and Chavez jr. ,his second best win was against Monroe jr. That has to be his best performance at the world level as he won wide UD (opposite to his other two Lee and Christopher). The problem is that in reality he didn't look that good at all. His third best win was against small Christopher who wasn't even ranked top 15 at the time (and did nothing at 160 before or after the fight).

He arguably lost to Akakov who was nobody at the time and after the fight (was never ranked as high as Rosado at 160). Do I need to continue with Fletcher?

The point is, they have had pretty much the same level of comp. And a person as negative as you can always downplay any fighter in the game if so desires.

He often does. There probably isn't a more inconsistent poster than Isal. He once said that if 3G fought Liam Smith, that would be his toughest opponent to date. He said that right after Canelo, his favorite fighter, beat Smith. LOL

Isal clearly lacks the ability to see solid wins, or good wins, for what they are. But according to him, anything other than a win versus a titleholder MUST be garbage...

You'll have to excuse Isal though. He started posting here when he was about 14, and hasn't grown one bit.
