Lemieux: Speak 5 languages

Wow, that's very impressive. I like to think there are more intelligent people in boxing!

 

Language its good if u work at a hotel desk..in this bis all it counts its english....america mainstream make the money...u dont see manny,darchynian,donaire,gamboa,trinidad speaking in german(that is for whoever wants to argue thatsome fighters are more willing to go to germany instead od u.s)

 

I thought he was trying to improve his French, read that somewhere. I doubt he is fluent in all 5.

 

Even people who have French as their native language try to improve it all their life. Most people can't write a page without making a grammar mistake. Lemieux doesn't speak French as well as I do as a native French-Canadian, but is still fluent.

As for people sceptical about Lemieux speaking arabic, he said in an interview that le learned it when he was young because there were alot of arabic people in his neighbourhood, so alot of his friend at school spoke it.

 

Hmmm... He makes SOME mistakes in French but then again it's not his mother tongue and yes he is absolutely fluent in French (and in English, too).

I don't know for the other languages, I don't speak them...

 

If he speaks a little arabic it's great, but if he can write it. His intelligence is really above the average. Was talking about that 2 weeks ago, it's really easy once you get two languages with the same alphabets to jump to another language and learning it. But learning another alphabets, especially, greek, arabic, chineese where those letters seems pretty ****ed up. Man this kid is amazing if he does so.

 

So I take it you're not interested in other cultures eh?

 

The profile by Dan Rafael says he speaks 5 languages but it doesnt say which languages.

Aside from french and english I dont know what other languages he would be speaking. Does anyone know for certain?

 

If he can speak all 5 languages fluent im impressed. But if he only knows a few words in armenian and arabic its nothing special... Most people with friends from other countrys can do that

is he armenian? do they all have such KO power then?

 

I really don't understand how mother****ers (and I don't mean that as an insult) like this guy can do this. I took four years of spanish in high school (yeah, I know that doesn't mean ****, it's almost like saying you studied hockey in Ecuador, but still...) and I couldn't hold a conversation in spanish to save my life. I find people that can speak 3 languages amazing..... people that can speak 4 of 5 are simply mind freaks in my opinion. From all the different foriegners I've known, they have all said that english is the easiest language.

Tyson couldn't speak none, yet he was one of the greatest in this sport.

 

He speaks 5 languages and he has an accent in all of them. lol

 

Does he know a few words and sentences in 5 different languages or can he have a conversation in 5 different langauges? Big difference. 5 is very impressive, and if he speaks the 6th fluently, he'll have a great career. Guess which language I'm referring to.

 

Well I speak 5 languages as well but im not fluent in all, brief conversations are possible I think it is the same with his Arabic.
