Lemieux is 2 or 3 fights away from GGG. Needs a little more grooming. His triple jab looks great. Needs to relax and put combos together. He is loading up on everything. Uses too much energy. He should be loading up on the last punch of a combo. I am sure Oscar and Bhopa see that. Match him with intelligence.

Lemieux is good at a lot of things, yet Golovkin is better at all. KO5-6 for GGG.

After last night I think that fight could be a good one. If Cotto still ducks GGG and K2 can reach out a deal that Cotto has to vacate the title, then it would be the fight I want to see anfter GGG fights for the vacant green belt (and Lemieux could have one defense of his belt as well before they both collide) :deal

Im just a bit unsure about the power of Lemieux, he dropped the Frenchmen so often but he could not finish him :huh

Anyone reckon GGG hits the canvas if they meet?

It would be an awesome fight.

Lemieux is 8 years younger than GGG and still learning, so maybe in a couple of fights time.

Golovkin is clearly the better boxer, but it looks to me like Lemiuex has more power. He recently beat Rosado and dropped him whereas Golovkin couldn't drop him. Lemieux also seems faster on his feet.

Given that we have seen in recent fights that Golovkin is pretty easy to hit , it would certainly be interesting to see if he adapts his style against a puncher with Lemiuex's obvious power. It's one thing taking multiple shots on the chin when Willie Monroe is teeing off on you with a peashooter but entirely different matter when a guy with a 90% KO rate who hits harder than you does!

I suspect Golovkin will become a counter puncher in this fight and use his boxing skills.

If he does just trundle forwards with scant regard for his chin and
Lemieux charges forwards throwing bombs then we will probably get a FOTY with both guys getting dropped!
