Nah, Vitali retired Lewis. It is an irrefutable truth. Lewis paid dearly for his reckless decision to face far more dangerous fighter two weeks prior to the scheduled fight. "old", "shot", "out of shape" BS aside - he was not tactically prepared for the fight and was lucky to escape from what was shaping up to be a major upset. then the messy affair of Lewis exiting from the sport followed: - negotiating for the rematch - then wanting his own doctor to check Vitali's injuries before the rematch - then flip-flopping when it became clear that Vitali was going to be fit to fight in December - then retiring under the threat of facing Vitali again or being stripped of the title - then inventing "nothing left to prove" story It was nothing but a desperate attempt to be able to continue boxing while ducking Vitali and not being labeled as a coward.
True, The bottom line is, Klitschko fans weren't going to be satisfied until one of the brothers pounded Lewis into the canvas... And had such an ordeal occurred they would have made absolutely no concessions for the fact that he was past it, unlike the way that they make any and every excuse for the kilt's losses.
All this means nothing to anyone but sad fanboys like yourself. No one who's actually serious says childish **** like this. Look child, it's been almost 7 years. Maybe time to get over it. :thumbsup
If a 50 year old George Foreman had fought and beaten vitali in controversial fashion, then retired, Klit fans would be calling him a coward for not giving him a rematch.
The truth is he was still in prime condition when he retired, he had originally planed to fight on for another 3-4 years. But after Vitali put that horrific and humiliating beating on him, he just couldn't do it anymore. They tried to get him back into the ring but he had anxiety-attacks and threatened to kill himself if they ever make him fight the monster again that took his manhood away from him on that beautiful night in June.
atsch Rubbish. Lewis had spoken of retirement before. "Prime" conditions? Just another idiot troll post.
irrefutable truth= Lewis TKO6 "old", "shot"= 38years old, more kg than ever lucky ??? i would not call luck to open someone like that and clearly from punches, there was no headbutt it was from ****ing punches!!! And K fans should stop saying here like Vitali won every round it was 58 56 for Vitali in very dirty fight, no one was out boxing anyone or something like that.
Football player retire at 35 36 37 something like that but for boxer to retire at 38 it is ducking no doubt, no way he was not as good as he used to be, his body was just as fine as he was 25. Seriously haters must think about it in many other easier sports people retire younger than Lewis was when he retired but i guess they dont want to be realistic they just want to hate...
Except most fanatic Vitali nut huggers most of vitali fans are just holding on their own saying Vitali was handling Lennox pretty good before he got huge cut above his eye ffs. Lennox Fans just cant get over it Lennox meant a guy who could challenge him in every aspect unlike anyone of his previous opponents and that is why Lennox struggled with Vitali. Seems like pretty many of his especially British fans feels unbelievable insecurity towards Vitali just because of that Fight and can not deal with Vitali like fukin Grown man. Edit. And Lennox W TKO6good
No need to be so butthurt. It is what it is. Lewis was no longer the best so he took the easy way out.
I have no reason to be butthurt. I was rooting for Vitali, as I was more a Lewis hater then anything. But you, on the other hand, made a thread about being butthurt and crying over a decision 7 years old. :rofl
