Lennox Lewis' longevity...not that much better than Tyson's!

You mention the 3 belts, but I suspet your "recognition" of "Undisputed" has nothing to do with holding the 3 belts, since Lewis gave them up almost immediately.

Longevity is a little bit overrated anyway.
It's important but it shouldn't overshadow all concern with activity/inactivity.

Of course, Lewis and Tyson have fine records by any reckoning.

    Tyson beat:

Tony Tucker 35-0 and IBF champ

Pinklon Thomas 29-1 and former WBC champ

    Trevor Berbick former WBC champ

James "Bonecrusher" Smith former WBA champ(KOed Witherspoon in 1)

    Bruce Seldon former WBA champ

this list looks better than Briggs, Golota, Botha, Akinwande, etc...

now this is a much better effort than your first try, i give you props...

Lewis 21-0 when he fought Ruddock, no way that's an arrival of a reign...

if you wanna play that way tho, i can say Tyson arrived on the scene when he beat Trevor Berbick for the WBC title in 1986...he actually fought for that title, no one vacated it to him like a birthday gift...after Berbick, from 1986-1996 Tyson fought 20 times...15 of those fights were for major world titles...he went 13-2-0 in those title fights...that's 10 consecutive years in which Tyson competed in the upper echelon of the division, with jail time included...:hi:

please play again Shotgun, this is fun...:D

Tyson TRULY unify the title with Spinks. Spinks beat Holmes who was the man ete. So in order for Tyson to be the REAL champ. He had to beat Spinks. Lineal has to play some role in unify the title. Other wise you get cases like Shannon Briggs and Foreman.

    :tired

This is either an attempt at trolling or a declaration of mental ******ation. But either way, Tyson had a near six year gap between title fights in that timeframe.

I guess it's a saving grace for Tyson fans though. It allowed the myth of Tyson to be perpetuated the whole time he was away. If he hadn't been locked up he would've been disposed and had the Tyson myth shattered by Holyfield in 1991 instead of 1996

    Wrong.

He had to unify those belts to be recognized at the undisputed champ. The fact that Don King's politricks took them away from him without a punch being thrown did nothing to his ranking as the recognized Undisputed Champ.
