    Why bother ?
Isn't that what we are supposed to be doing ?
Discussing and, comparing fighters that are from past era's?

For the record I think Lewis beats Johnson ,and I said so in my other Lewis thread.

James Jeffries would never beat Jack Johnson

I wouldn't know old friend.. I've stopped reading these threads comparing early 20th century fighters to modern ones... At anyrate, enjoy your scuffle with Mendoza when he arrives, as I suspect it is part of the reason this thread was constructed... :D

Actually it's to help me get a handle on where to rate Lewis, whom I find it hard to get a fix on.He is in my top ten of ATG heavies, but not in the top half.

Personally I think Lewis toys with Jeffries.

Lennox wins by Mid Rounds stoppage probably by technical means as he pounds Jeffries with hard straight shots and batters his face into oblivion/ Very comfortable up until the stoppage with Jeffries maybe pulling a round or two back from sheer grit, determination and power.

Boxing is abolished in all civilized nations if this one is allowed to happen.

Lennox KO 1 too much speed and power, Jeffries wouldn't have the defence to keep him off

I think this is the likely scenario.

Well you won't have an opinion to give until Pollack writes the biography of Lewis ,and that will be in about 25 years time.
