Debatable, Lewis rarely let big combo's go but when he did like vs Mercer he was impressive. Even if Joshua is superior in this one aspect, Lewis is far superior in so many other aspects of the game. This content is protected
Vitali was beating Lewis but the cut changed the fight, cutting someone with a punch isn`t that impressive, it doesn`t take power or skill, Lewis got lucky after getting hit with a ton of shots.
Vitali won the first 2 rounds and then Lewis started to press the action in the 3rd and cut Vitali above the eye with a right. He won that round and the rest of the rounds were close. Vitali threw more punches in rounds 3, 4, 5, and 6 but a lot of them didn't land. I slowed the footage down and scored it myself. Rounds 4 5 and 6 were swing rounds in terms of punches actually landed. And it wasnt just one cut, it was 3 or 4 different cuts. One above the eye lid, one on the eye lid, one on his cheek and a gash on his lip underneath all that blood. Look at Vitali's face. https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-5CY45Ic7..._U/s1600/Lennox+Lewis+vs+Vitali+Klitschko.jpg https://c8.alamy.com/comp/G78G8W/th...vitali-klitschko-at-the-post-fight-G78G8W.jpg I dont want to here anything about luck. And keep in mind Lewis was overweight and past his prime.
But in the first clip he dodged all him punches. He looks terrible because he was over 10 pounds above his prime fighting weight at 245 pounds and was in the ring eith somebody better than Anthony Joshua. Lets bring up when Joshua went life and death with a inactive 41 year pld Wladimir and even got dropped in the process and was ready to go, if only Wladimir didn't listen to his brother and finished Aj off
Looks like we need to resurrect the TKO6 thread, so many clueless K2 fanboys here. Just a friendly reminder: Vitaly fight a 38-years-old, fat old Lewis and couldn't finish the job despite throwing everything he had at Lewis's supposedly glass jaw. Rahman did it in 5, McCall in 2. Vitaly couldn't do it in 6, with his 96% Ko percentage.
Lennox was the best fighter in a vastly superior HW division, he'd dominate today. I'm not sure anyone even goes the distance with him, maybe Fury.
AJ is a better combo puncher than Vitali was, Vitali was very basic and rarely threw three punch combo`s, I don`t think he was a great fighter, but yes Lewis did look very heavy and slow.
So was Holyfield. As a matter of fact Holyfield would probably beat Aj. Vitali isn't as good if a combination puncher but he doesn't have to be. Vitali's awkwardness gave Lewis trouble and Vitali has better head movement and can use his head SIGNIFICANTLY better than Aj. Two different fighters
How many rounds does he drop and how many rounds did he drop in his career, very rose tinted stuff going down on this thread.
