    If he caught them completely flush on the chin yes. Both McCall and Mercer had excellent chins, but I don’t think either is given enough credit for their defense. McCall actually had good head movement and was good at blocking punches, so he rarely was ever hit clean and Mercer always kept his chin tucked, so he also usually avoided talking the full power of his opponent’s blows.

    What's next, are we gonna ask if Golovkin's left hook could drop Ali since he was weak to hooks?

    Not really because McCall had a better chin to survive return fire from Lennox, ring iq, head movement, and was also 6'2 with long arms which helps if you're trying to time a 6'5 behemoth who also happens to be an elite boxer.

    Ingo is literally just a 1 trick pony: pawing left to set up a big right hand. He was the generic cereal version of Wilder who happened to catch a smaller shakey chinned champion who underestimated him at the perfect time in history.
