Madness, klitschko always would have fought like that, he was never some marauding come forward guy and Fury owned him psychologically, that's not changing at any stage, well maybe young klitschko but then he would have got chinned

Another question is could Lewis survive 12 rounds with Wlad and two fights with Wilder?

Because I think he gets KO'd at least once in those three fights, likely in two, possibly in all of them.

Lewis was much easier to hit than Fury and Wlad and Wilder landed RH's on Fury. Lewis would likely be found by Wlad and Wilder, especially since he would fight cautious, wary of their power and would be unlikely to blast them out early.

I do not agree. Wlad in the middle of his reign, at peak confidence, with Steward still alive and in his corner? Yeah, no, he doesn't bitch out the way he did. :nusenuse: Sorry, you're not going to convince me otherwise.

Lewis is also a big heavyweight so he can handle Fury who is not a lot bigger than him. Prime Lewis can be a serious threat to Prime Fury IMO.

    "not a lot bigger"

    6'4.5 240lb lewis

    6'9" 280lb Fury

    Yeah barely any different

4.5 inches would be a gargantuan difference at bantamweight, sure - but among super heavies it really isn't that big a deal. Have you never heard of diminishing returns? Same reason they sanction fights between 220lb men and 260lbers in the unlimited division. In the 'limited' range that is several weight classes, because that big a weight difference would create an insane, criminally negligent advantage for the heavier man. Once you get up past two hundred pounds in weight or about six foot two in height, the 'advantages' don't count for as much anymore.

Even Wilder who's a lot smaller than Fury could send the latter to the floor so how about Lewis?

    :deal:

And honestly, idc about the zeitgeist hype, Lewis shot for shot punched just as hard as Wilder if not harder. AND had actual technique on top of that.

I feel like some of you guys are going to appreciate Fury more when he's gone than now he's active.

I feel like you just really want to be living in a special time and have your guy wind up happening to be the GOAT..but no amount of wishing is going to make that so. Fury will have always fought in a weak era with nobody around great enough to give him that vicarious boost; nothing can be done about that, just as nothing can be done by haters about him being in the books as lineal champ (and retiring undefeated if he plays his cards right).

... correction; I felt that, a minute ago. Now seeing this, I know it:

Yeah, his uppercut alone is Wilder's straight right's equal - and Lennox isn't a one trick pony.

I could argue the same thing about Lewis fans

If Lewis had beaten a Prime Tyson, Holyfield or Bowe, or beaten Vitali legitimately then I could see the argument, but Lewis doesn't have any real standout wins.

IMO the klitschko who Fury beat probably beats all of lewises opponents, I don't see LL as this irresistible force, I think that's looking back with nostalgia and the old rose tints

Lewis isn't "my era", though. I was just a kid when he was on the rise, and not old enough to buy a beer when he fought Vitali (at which point I'd started getting hardcore into boxing for a few years in my late teens, but mostly just concentrated on the featherweight and welter range). There is no real nostalgia factor. I view him through as objective a lens as greats from any era...which is the same way I view Fury. And he IMO simply isn't on the level of a Lewis (in accomplishment nor eye test/ability) - let alone Louis or Ali.

You can't compare two stoppages, as a world champion, to a razor close 10 rounder as a 21 year old.

You're definitely reaching. Plus, the rematch against Oliver McCall was a farce.

Lennox Lewis was also going to lose to Vitali Klitschko had he not got lucky with a grazing punch that tore the skin of Vitali Klitschko.
