Ceja didn't give him any opportunity to. Ruiz used all his remaining wits to make his way into the corner (where his plan was to maybe shell up and ride it out until the bell) and that just got him blasted repeatedly.

Anyone ever watched boxing while high? Does it enhance the experience?

I'm starting to get the impression Luna's power has been overrated.

True the rope a dope in retrospect was probably the worst possible strategy there.

Luna unimpressive there. Arguably a round for Lopez.

His head bounced off the floor like a medicine ball, I don't even know how the hell he was able to get up at all

    What!?

You have to watch that fight, IB. I enjoyed it every bit as much, if not more than Ramirez-Afolabi. Currently my front-runner for FOTY.

Lopez is a blown up featherweight, has fought just once in the last year (although he did upset 16-0 Victor Betancourt on this exact date in 2014, via KO) and is on about 24 hours' notice.

He certainly looks huge compared to Lopez.

It's the FOTY so far for me too, but seeing it on replay probably diminishes from the drama of seeing Huck completely unexpectedly get KO'd.

Why is the Latin Snake ringside at Staples Center and not the Forum? :bart

He should be stumping for a Mosley rematch. :deal (biggest money fight he could possibly get at this point, and he can always play on Shane's ego by dangling the chance to "avenge" the draw in front of him...)
