The topic is idiotic. Who cares what Elerbe thinks in general and about this PPV in particular ? These PPV numbers got too much attention already.

People have to forgive Ellerbe for not being impressed.
I mean, the guy has been CEO of Mayweather Promotions handling hundreds of millions of dollars of PPV revenue over the last 15 years through Mayweather-ODLH, Mayweather - Cotto, and tons of other MASSIVE PPV events.
The revenue flow through MP made that of Top Rank look like a Jewish owned 7-11 corner convenience store and GBP look like a Taco stand.
So many $30-60M dollar Mayweather purses affect his outlook that a pultry few million dollars generated by GGG-Lemieux doesn't appear too exciting. AT least he maintained his composure and didn't laugh out right.

 

Hmmm.. the most high profile fighter of this era outsold GGG 400K - 150K. remember the 150K fighter speaks broken English and it was his first time. Can Ellerbee comment on how Floyd didn't crack 500k buys?

You guys need to stop the whining and face the reality that Golovkin lacks the substance to even come close to repeating/equally ATG Floyd Mayweather achievements.
Mayweather wasn't hyped from the start like Golovkin. Instead he had to earn his living the old fashioned way, by kicking ass in very competitive environment.

Don't feel bad. You should be feeling happy that Mayweather opened another door to the sport, even if the stairs are too high for Golovkin to climb. :good
