    Leonard vs. Hagler became the most-ordered boxing pay-per-view ever with an estimated 150,000 buys in a wired universe that was under five million homes.


    Only Under 5 million homes could receive PPV at that time so 150,000 is a ton if you do the percentage of people who could've ordered it and did.

    That's how I watched it. We didn't have PPV available where I live until the first Holyfield - Bowe fight which I of course ordered....

    I can remember going to close circuit broadcasts many times before being able to get PPV..

    This was back in the 80's, when people actually went outside. I can imagine there were lots of groups of people who watched a fight. Kind of like parties.

    I watched it in a theater like closed circuit ppv setting.. it wasn't a theater but it was such a long time ago and I dont remember the actual venue. my fiends and I tried to drink a beer every round. Don't remember much of the fight...lol
