After beating Thomas Hearns, Marvin fought twice: about a year later vs. John Mugabi and about a year after that vs. Ray Leonard.

Then it was off to Italy to make movies.

Let’s say in some alternate reality, after Hearns he decided to test the waters at 175. How do you see him doing at that weight vs. these four guys?

    Marvin Johnson

    Bobby Czyz

    Leslie Stewart

    Dennis Andries

Marvin Hagler might have a chance JUST BECAUSE Michael Spinks just left.
    I'm not impressed with Bobby.
Marvin Johnson would be Hagler's biggest obstacle.
I'm not sure, but since Hagler isn't even tested at 168 lbs IMHO Marvin would be a hurdle that Hagler wouldn't jump over.

Agree on Pops being a bridge too far.

We’re shooting in the dark here without knowing how Marvin would look at 175 (or even above 160 at all) but I think Andries, while flawed, would be just too strong and rugged for Marvin. Probably pushes him around and wears him down.

Stewart and Czyz, maybe Marvin has a chance in outworking them.

Someone REALLY profited from the departure of Michael Spinks.
    But he lost against Bobby.

Both lefties, too, if MMH chooses to use that stance.

Hagler was too small to go to 175. The man usually weighed 157-158 for his same day weight in bouts.

Hagler might not even be the same at 168, let alone 175.

Marin would be too small and, at that point in his career, too old and unmotivated to be a force at 175.

Johnson would bully Hagler hes too big too aggressive too powerful Hagler would have no answers for the rampaging Johnson.

Hagler was not a big Middleweight he was perfectly sized at the weight and could probably campaign at Jr Middleweight in the modern era.

Quite simply Hagler would be too small and at this point in his career being slightly past it aswell would be even worse for him.
