If PW wanted this fight he would have come out and so already. I understand that PW's promoter has some conditions but PW is hurting his own image by not coming out and saying that he in fact wants this fight. Personally I think that PW is soul searching. That Martinez fight did a number on him and I think he needs to evaluate his performance and his desire to fight at these higher weight classes. I like Pavlik, but he needs to be realistic. He postponed this fight twice and now he thinks that he makes the rules? He needs to get the marbles out of his mouth, and give PW the courtesy that PW gave him.

Good points. PW has taken the harder fights. Also true that Pavlik has been damaging his own image as of late. I'd like to see the fight happen, but sadly I don't think PW is going to continue much longer at MW. If you think that he will, then what is he waiting for? Also true. I guess I meant courtesy in that he postponed. Yes he talked crap along the way and afterward, but who wouldn't? The fact remains that PW waited for Pavlik and Pavlik couldn't perform. PW moved on to tougher competition and Pavlik did not.
Oh my, we actually have more than three Pavlik fans on this board?, I sure as hell didn't see any since the Hopkins boxing 101 educational affair. It's his injury, a lot of fighters show them, why wouldn't he?. I remember Zab Judah showing a NEW picture immediately taken after injury when he cut his hands that forced the Mosley fight to be postponed then canceled, remember? Didn't Pavlik also show people proof of his cuts suffered from glass or whatever in his new house that postponed the Taylor rematch or first fight? Why not pop out the injured finger that CANCELED a fight?, even Arum was all over his ass with insults for it and he pays Arum to promote him.
Williams and all his people claimed Pavlik was an easy opponent. Team Pavlik and Top Rank offered Williams $1.2 million, plus a percentage of the gate, plus a percentage of the enodorsements. It adds up to the biggest pay day of PW's career. Williams seems to have walked away from a career high pay day with an opponent he said he would knock out. Career high pay day, a chance to become the champion of boxings second most prestigious division, and an "easy" opponent. Where's Paul?
I think its the promoters that are causing this fight not happening at this point not the fighters!!! I appologize on the attack earlier its just that it's an all out war on ESB when it comes to PW and KP! I shoot first ask questions later!!

Although I do like Williams, I find the silence on his end odd. I would expect some sort of response from them in regards to Pavlik calling them out after the Espino fight. Even if it were something along the lines of ....." He had his chance, and wouldn't fight.", etc. But saying nothing, I don't get it. Is it a negotiation ploy?
