right, the fight that a lot of people bought into, that generated a lot of money, that got boxing in the mainstream media and that some experts had differing views on he outcome is out of the way can we get some perspective.
i watched this fight on tv with 7 fellas, the majority of which would not normally bother with boxing, even ricky hatton in his prime.
haye remains a quick, powerful h/w who can box to a plan or have a tear up if need be.
adam booth may come across as a bit smug but this geezer is so sharp that if you stood to close to him you would cut yourself, and i am always impressed with his calm and steady cornerwork.
this will all make sense in 12 months time.

it did capture the mainstream imagination but quickly embarrassed boxing. not one person i know wasn't disgusted with fraudley's effort.

agreed but haye did what he was supposed to do by taking him out and harrison did f'##k all so he took a lot of the sting and not the sport, but if/when a klit fight is announced this will all be forgotten and interest/money for this fight will be big time.
lets take one for the team and admit that overall haye is good for the sport

In time, we will all pull a weird face of contempt whenever someone mentions this fight ever again... but life goes on and so does boxing.

The histeria around the whole thing, especially in the aftermath and even talks of not paying Harrison...was very bizarre.

That wasn't so perplexing really. What was peculiar was the uproar afterwards with people who should know better whipping themselves up into a frenzy. Like, seriously what the heck were they looking for? LOL.

Its a shame the Pac v Margo fight was not on before Audley. That way people who dont normally watch boxing would have got to see how it should be done.Although the fight was pretty one sided,Margo did not fold at any point,he always wanted to win it and made the fight good to watch.

David was a fairweather friend to Audley Harrison; it was a one-way friendship!

I know what you mean about Booth's cornerwork. Very calm, very intense.

After Groves got knocked down Booth was well pissed off at him, but when he got to the corner it was first things first... 'how clear is your head? How strong are your legs'.

The man unsettles me a bit, but I do admire his cornerwork.
