because neither got badly exposed? ok ok, I am harsh on Cotto, but people saying he'd beat Mayweather was tedious... but Pavlik? lol! funny.
Roy is still Roy but based on his last few performances, I just don't think he'll be able to handle the pace that Joe will force him to fight and will revert to that horrible survival mode Roy that does nothing and yet acts like he's winning.
I agree, saying things like Cotto and Pavlik are bums really hurts this guy, who actually made some good points about Roy still being a great fighter with a decent chance of beating Joe.
Being "exposed" (although I completely disagree with the use of the word in Pavlik's case, people SHOULDN'T need the B-Hop fight to know he has flaws) by a legend like Bernard doesn't make you a bum.
Being a lugubrious stiff, slow 1 dimensional fighter does make him a bum... I am just pleased it was Hopkins that showed him and not Calzaghe, as now everyone has to respect Calzaghes victory over Hopkins more. No wonder he was ducking AA, imagine what he or Kessler would do to him.
WTF??? Covering???? Here it goes: I am a fan of Roy's, but I give him little to no chance to beat Calzaghe. Jones WAS great, but is way past it, obviously. Hope he proves me wrong though and pulls one final out of the bag. Fair enough?
another day, another stuped comment, first of all you say that roy jones has all the ability he has always had, kid if you believe this you are full of ****. A prime Jones had everything, he is a shadow of his former self. jones is still quick, but quick for a thirty nine year old, he doesn't have the power to hurt any fighter. and then you call pavlik and cotto bums, sorry but if pavlik and cotto are bums then what does that say about the likes of lacy and kessler.
Not the case you stereotypical POS. It doesn't matter who the fighter, it happens with PBF, Mora, the crap US heavyweights and more. Fighters always get **** when they don't fight anybody. No matter where they are from. If Calzaghe was born in the USA, he wouldn't be undefeated, he'd be fighting a crop of fighters with actual talent and he would have been exposed. He might have been another Jones victim or Hopkins or even Toney victim.
I think I will see that fight in a bar. I will really like, Jones backing off, making body feints while takeing his air breaks. Then fighters he fought wondered what Jones was going to do next. A DM or Joe won't wonder, they will be doing something to him, and not letting him get his air breaks. That is why Johnson beat him. He did not let him take his normal air breaks, and tired him out. I don't like Joe, but will for this fight.
