    Plenty of others have been asking for a fight with Floyd, but Floyd chose the smallest of the bunch. WHY?

    Now the age they both fought at each weight please? :nut

    Marquez was a 126/130 fighter up until mid 2008 at age 35 then had 2 fights at 135 where he looked at his limit, he moved upto 142 at 36.

    PBF has all the skill in the world so why must he have all the advantages over opponents like JMM and Hatton?

    Good post. It seems in some post it was a battle tank (pbf) vs. a volts Wagon Beatle (JMM).

    um.... you do realise theres a differance between growing into and being at a certain weight (140 and above) for over the last half decade, and having about 9 fights that weight and above,

    then having fought only two times above 130lbs in your entire career, and never above 135

    right?


    also.... where you start out doesnt mean jack for how big you are or arent compared to your opponent.... Roy Jones jr frequently fought at 154lbs when he started, more then say someone like William Joppy, i suppose theirs no size differance between them though right?
    Just because someone can make a certain weight class when their 18, 19, 20, 21, ect... doesnt mean that their the same size as everyone in that weight class 8 years down the line and multiple weight classes beyond if they meet at a catchweight. Ive never understood that 'logic'

    Gatti (RIP Champ) started at 127, i guess him and Marquez are the same size too right?

    Floyd didn't have to take it. Being a Welterweight, no one would have accused of him of ducking a guy with only 2 fights at Lightweight. Floyd better start fighting the best Welterweights. It's gotten ridiculous how he has managed to avoid fighting all these great fighters there.

    floyd fought zab judah who was naturally a 140 pounder and was there longer then floyd ...

    floyd fought corrales who was naturally bigger ...

    he fought gatti who was bigger ..

    he fought delahoya .. bigger ...

    so whats the big debate about?

    great responce :roll: you can call them whatever the hell you like or makes you feel better, its the truth :deal

    and ya, we would all just QUESTION floyd for fighting at 168... as usual, get a grip. I know its sooooooo much to ask for the guy to fight a current top 10 welter.... god forbid.

    It would have been less of an issue if Floyd faught JMM and he had a few fights to acclimate his body to the new weight and to actually see if he was able to move up to 144 without loosing speed or power. It was obvious he lost a lot of speed. Size wasn't the issue in this fight but Speed was. Floyd did what was expected although I felt he should have won by KO given he was bigger and strong and faster. It is what it is....a good win but nothing more than that. Floyd's win over DLH was probably his best win....this fight was more for the name rather than the legacy building type of fight.

    Well in the ring the size difference was very noticeable. I didn't think it was gonna be be like THAT.
