Yes he did what he was expected to do, but there is no denying that Gatti was shot, I mean damn its not like that was a huge acheivement Micky Ward also beat Gatti the man was shot if you think other wise then you dont know boxing. Baldimor and Judah mediocore wins to be honest with you, Judah has only one real solid win as a welter and that is against spinks he hasnt beat a house hold name. Badlimors claim to fame was taking advantage of a mentally weak Judah and fighting a well washed up Gatti as well. Mitchell was too old that is a fact DLH makes up for all of that in a sense the fight took place at 154 on all of Oscars terms but that fight was still too damn close for comfort, if your the best P4P fighter in the world undefeated with youth on your side you should atleast be able to make it as clear as Mosley did in his first fight with DLH, that didnt happen, but he did still win, but also lets not forget DLH was past his best days when that took place.
it seems i touched a nerve :| :| :| :| :| i bet youre crying like Floyd in the post fight interview after Baldo. you dont know **** about boxing lil virgin you only know and follow your boyfriend thats it.
youre the one frustrated im happy with myself while you the only thing you acomplished in your life was being a mod here. wich isnt bad for a guy that doesnt leave his mother“s basement.
after that when thing got to hot in the WW division he chose to retire instead of facing his chalengers like a true champion. he then comes out and says that he doenst have to prove to the fans that hes the best cause he already knows hes the best and the groupies aplaud everything he says like hes some kind of profet.
The happiness is all over you, want a penny for it? :rofl Advertising yourself here is yet another failing attempt from a proven failure already. Don't worry maybe someone will relate to you and donate something to release your stress, the dishes should be a good start because that's where beggard like you belong and will forever be. :good
what a lame reply atsch atsch atsch why dont you go post on some threads that dont have nothing do with Floyd or go to the Classic Forum theres more to boxing than that runner you love.
This is also a matter of opinion really, you have to also question what was Floyd boxing for in the first place, Legacy? or Money? I beleive that Floyd only wanted to box so that he could cash in on his skills and make as much Money as possible, Sure a legacy is nice to have but that does not pay the bills and in the real world things cost money. I think Floyd went along this path to get him that mega fight with De La Hoya, picked up some extra cash in fighting Baldimor Judah and Hatton, and he at this stage doesnt need to fight anymore the man has made his money through the sport. Like I said it all depends on what Floyd was boxing for in the first place and I beleive its for the money he wasnt out for a legacy, that was never his plan.
i understand that but if it was only for the money he shouldnt say things like hes the best ever and that hes better than SRR. what he can say is that hes richer than SRR ever was
Well think about it man, people with money are stuck on themselves, they have big egos, and being that he may or may not come back the kid has a right to self promote.
Shut up!!! You always pick a black fighter to win in any H2H match-up against a white/mexican fighter - because you're a racist, and therefore - completely incapable of being objective - so your opinion is totally meaningless and should be taken with a pinch of salt. So by your twisted logic - Douglas is a better fighter than Tyson then? You know **** about boxing and even less about Tszyu!:deal
Excellent post. All circumstances considered, Floyd's last truly great win was the Castillo rematch. His "reign" (using that word lightly) at 140, 147, and 154 was pretty much about cherry picking opponents that brought the highest $$ amount. At these weights he didn't fight any great fighter in their prime. The biggest win of his career, IMO, was the Corrales fight at 130 (Corrales' distractions aside). Both fighters undefeated and in their primes, If I'm not mistaken, the odds were pretty even, as well. On that night, Floyd went in againsta a hungry, young, undefeated fighter that he was not necessarily favored to beat and he delivered - big time (no pun intended). In retrospect, Corrales (R.I.P.) did not pan out to be an ATG fighter. Take that for what it's worth.
yep his biggest win and to me he still was a great win{corrales} and his only great win let us ponder and name another great win
The 2nd win over Castillo, IMO. With the advantage of retrospect, we didn't know at that time just how good of a lightweight Castillo was. Floyd was coming off of what many felt was a loss to Castillo in their first match and did what great fighters do - he made adjustments. Ironically, according to the judges' cards, the 2nd fight was closer than the 1st :huh
