Looking at this objectivly floyd probably straight ducked 1 fighter margarito and possibly cotto( the cotto at 147) only.

Lets look at the fighters that he is accussed of ducking

Casamayor- Unfortunatly lost to freitas when this fight was discussed, floyd had already fought the best at the weight in corrales and then moved up and fought the best at lightweight castillo, no duck

Freitas- If anyone really thinks PBF ducked freitas they need to stop watching boixing, thats all i'll say on that one

Mosely- Floyd wanted that fight for years, since he was at 130, actually i remember reading an article years ago where he was at 30 or 35 calling both mosely and de la hoya out, then the fight was looking to possible happen a couple ofyears ago and mosely said he had toothache or something ridiculous, not that shane ducked him IMO oscar wanted his crack on floyd and what the golden boy wants he usually gets, shame this fight never happened but no duck on either side

kostya- Fight was planned, kostya had a routine mandatory defence to win in manchester, we all know how that turned out and we haven't seen kostya since, seeing as he had been out injured for about 2 years before this fight was never going to happen and neither fighter was to blame

Hatton- Heard stories that the fight was discussed at 140 and hatton never wanted it, not sure if its true, the fight happened at 47 though, now hatton was never at his best at 47 agreed, but then again neither was floyd who was much better at 140 than 47, he is also quite small at 147 so not like aproperc welter like margo up against hatton. Floyd should get the credit for beating hatton at 47 as he would at 140, i don't think its a massive amount as i don't see hatton as a top fighter, very good but not A+, but he gets the same credit for the win as he would have had had it happened straight after kostya

Cotto-Now here is a possible duck imo, apparantly cotto wanted no part of PBF at 140 but he was not the fighter he was at 47, this fight should have took place after hatton, neither side seemed to want it, i hoestly thought it would happen and floyd would have come back in 2009 to fight him but now migul lossed to margo doubtful, a duck is definetly arguable on this

Williams- Again a possible duck, however he only won a titlle last summer against margo lossed against quintana and then had to win it back, by that time floyd had retired, if floyds stays retired no duck in my opinion howver if he returns this is one of 3 fights he needs to take

Margo- The only one that seems clear to me, the only one where there was an offer rejected, now you could argue this was because of arum, possible, and also because he wanted the welter weight crown from baldo, the 1st argument would hold some weight the second one not so much, eg if PBF wanted that title so much why not just fight baldo straight away and not judah, this seems a duck too me

All in all hardly the ducker he is made out to be in my opinion, he could also come back and take away any doubt and fight the best at welter, he was happy to fight the best at 30 and 35, ended up fighting the best at 40 but to have a legacy at welter he needs to unretire and fight the 3 last names on my list IMO

By the time Joy Mayweather moved up to 140, Kostya was winding down his career.

In the year or so overlap of the two fighters at 140, Joy CHOSE to fight Corley and Bruseles. No offer was even made to Tszyu, and besides Joy had done NOTHING to earn a shot against the champion at 140.

    Anyone can talk.
What separates the true greats from the others is what they do in the ring, GREATS ARE DEFINED IN THE RING.

That was discussed numerous times, even Arum his self commented on this as he was promoting Floyd at the time. Margarito was planned to fight Manuel Gomez on a PPV card already set and announced, Judah/Mayweather was already heavily advertised but was hit hard as Judah lost. Floyd DID try to make the Baldomir fight but Baldomir's team claimed they wanted one fight before fighting Mayweather and you can see Mayweather talking about his during the post fight press conference of the Judah fight. Margarito was also offered a fight with Floyd when both were already signed to fight different opponents, Judah for Floyd and Gomez for Margarito, but they just couldn't cancel the Gomez fight especially with two weeks away.

    That's what happened there.
