People used to dislike him for his arrogance and the way he edged dirrell. But the way he is consistently fighting quality opponents he has won everyone over surely? Magee, reid, pascal, taylor, dirrell, kessler, abraham, johnson and soon to be ward. Who else can boast as impressive a resume in the short number of fights he's had. It's no wonder he is only a couple of good wins from smashing the p4p top ten.
Amen if only british tv put money into him instead of the others we would have alot more love for the sport in this country. Barring the dirrell performance all of his last 6/8 fights would have been loved by the general public. My heart was in my mouth during the 12th round of the Taylor fight.
**** YOU CARL FOR NOT SHOWING US RACHEL IN THE HOT TUB!!!!! Great t-shirt though. He's the best we've had for a long long time. Wouldn't like to see him getting bashed about at light heavy even if he kept winning.
He beat up pascal who aint done too badly at that weight but i think hes got some work to do at super middle first
froch is the most under rated boxer in the sport today. his last few fights read: pascal(who went on to be another weight champion) taylor dirrell kessler abraham soon to be johnson i dont think i can think of anyone of late who fought that high level of skilled and dangerous opponents in a row like froch has. and to say he only lost 1 in a close fight where he wasnt 100 per cent.that is pretty impressive. i see no reason why froch cant win the super six,if he trains right, sticks to game plans, boxes smart, and rumbles when he needs to rumble!.
i think glenn from a few years ago would have KO'd froch, froch fights from long range and doesnt perform well on the inside i think with johnsons workrate and inside game would have presented huge problems for froch, froch's power would have been a non-factor against johnson. today we are talking about a 42 year old johnson, i think carl wins a UD but has a few scary moments, but i'll be rooting for glenn on the night.
TBF it's mostly yanks in the general who have a go at froch. I have said many times before theres nothing to criticise him about really. As for those saying Johnson could beat him, I highly doubt it, his win over Allan Green means nothing, as Green is an utter bum. I see Froch as being a superior version of johnson in a lot of ways, except perhaps for Johnsons inside game. Johnson today is doing the same thing he's always done, "always the bridesmaid, never the bride" he always loses close ones, thats the legacy of Johnson, giving a good effort, but finding ways to lose, i expect the same here, Froch 116-112 or something
you clearly dont like anybody apart from tim bradley, no chance the johnson from a few years ago beats or even ko's froch! froch is made of steel, froch wide ud
Froch puts Joe Calzaghe and his shítty resume to shame. Sure, Joe has a win over Carl Froch's only loss (and it was a legit but not humilating defeat, Kessler won fair and square, he was better on the night) and Joe probably does beat Froch in a month of Sundays. But Joe came no where near to having a run of opponents as dangerous as Pascal-Taylor-Dirrell-Abraham-Johnson-Ward, as Froch will potentially have. And Froch is probably an Andre Ward and Glen Johnson off having a resume that shíts on Joe Calzaghe's.
So you agree his defence is poor then??? Cant remember the last time I even read anything negative about him on here:think What's the point of this?
