No need to wait until morning. Proksa already lost to a journeyman. He might be a game bum, but he's still a bum. Polish glass, etc.
Respect.... The guy was game....just out gunned. It happens sometimes in this sport. triple G is methodical bull dozer. Seems to have a iron beard to compliment his extra heavy hands.....it doesn't look like he punches hard but no one can deny the destruction ththat's left in the wake of one of his shots that he connects with.
Honestly he showed a lot of heart against a guy who hits like a freight train But honestly I believed Proksa would be better suited at 154, he just looks too skinny up at middleweight and I think he could possibly dominate 154, I mean who at the weight would beat him? Cotto is far from his best and had trouble hitting Pacquiao who was good at moving in and out Alvarez is dodging anyone with a pulse Trout would have trouble keeping up Bundrage would get tagged all night long The only person I see at 154 giving Proksa a good fight and possibly winning would have to be Erislandy Lara, now Lara V Proksa has FOTY written all over it
Yup, big respect to Super G. Never gave up even though deep inside him he knew he was outgunned after the 1st round. His best was just not good enough.
I like Proksa. He's a good fighter. The ref, I thought you could tell, he was torn on what to do, there. He seemed to realise Proksa was clear-headed but had that gut feeling that letting him go out again was still wrong. It was a good call, I think. Golovkin admitted he felt Proksa's punching power pretty well. Proksa can still be in great fights. Lee, Macklin, those guys. I'd like to see those fights.
Me too. Proxa is a very exciting & gutsy fighter just as Golov-cheen. Yes perfect stoppage. In my honest opinion, the Proxa from tonight would beat a Daniel Geale. Sturm too obviously.
Can't fault a man who gets up from 3 knockdowns against the perceived new beast of the 160 pound division. Major props and respect. He was also getting wrecked each round. Hope he can rebound from this loss and make some money and carve a name out for himself.
Ya he appeared clear headed when he stood up but the way he just collapsed along with Golovkin's power i wouldn't have wanted to see it continue. Even the british announcers had Proksa clearly winning Hope I before the decision was announced. Afterwards they backtracked to try and justofy a bogus decision in typical brit fashion of course. I was thinking the same thing.
Big respect. He's definitely a game and tough fighter with an awkward style that would certainly pose a problem for a lot of the best fighters at either 154-160. I don't think he'll ever hold onto a major belt for too long if he wins one but he sure as **** won't let it go without putting his $.02 in. At 160: I think he beats both Sturm and Geale. Also Macklin, Lee, Steiglitz, and Abraham. I think he loses to but still earns his respect against: Martinez, HNN, Quillen, GGG(obviously), Barker, and Jr.
I wouldnt say Lara Schools him but perhaps gets the better of him. Despite Golovkin winning every round and putting Proksa down 3 times I still think Proksa presented him with a few problems with his movement and footwork (Golovkin said that it wasnt an easy fight)
