No he knew he could get more and have a more meaningful fight against someone else that actually brought something to the table. If PBF had fought Margo and beat him people would criticize it saying Margo was a waste of time like they said about Sosa, Ndou and Brusseles. The guy is basically a nobody who did 25K in buys on a PPV against Gomez.

 

This was a year before the date though keep in mind,,,and your car analagy doesn't really apply. Example: You are asking 10k for the car and someone calls and offers 15k. You don't know that someone is maybe going to call you and offer 30k down the road.....thats just crystal ball **** there. For the record PBF easily beats Margarito imo, so its a moot point, but I think thats what Lance was getting at

Floyd is an ATG if he retires today, but that's not my point. A match with Cotto will decide where Floyd sits in the upper echelons of boxings elite. If he ends up fighting him and winning, his ATG ranking should greatly increase because Cotto is obviously the biggest threat to him.. bigger than Tszyu was, much bigger than Spadafora was, and I don't need to mention someone like Margarito in this. If Floyd fights anybody other than Cotto next, I will lose respect for him.

come on man, common sense. Goosen clearly overpaid for the baldy match. The only way Arum could offer Fraud 8 mil is cause Margarito was willing to take really short money. Baldy was no willing to take short money and in fact did not.
