The problem with Joe is that in his autobiography,he truthfully claimed that he wouldn't fight Roy Jones because Jones was shot and unworthy after his brutal ko losses to Tarver and Johnson.He then said he would never fight Roy because of this.Then after he signed to fight Jones,said that Roy was still great.I used to like Joe before I saw what he was really about-someone who will lie to make himself look better.After all,he is a helluva fighter,but he is officially,on record,a liar,lacking credibilty when he opens his toilet.Now,he makes a music video that brags about beating a fighter that he wrote in his book was shot?Shame on him.This is the problem with Joe.You just can't believe anything he says because he will say anything to make himself to look better.Just look at the video.

Come on, i'll give him his dues, but this ATG stuff is a bit rich. Look at what other fighters have accomplished, the fighters they have faced, the fights they have given us. Are you saying there might only be 30 boxers EVER that have done more than Joe.
In fairness to Calzaghe...who can do what Calzaghe did...WHILE LOOKING THAT ****IN' PRETTY! :rofl:shock::hey These Brits wont catch on, he can say he beat all these people, but he never rematched a single one of them. Which speaks volumes about his level of confidence and brilliance in knowing when he got lucky. The thread starter makes great points. But of course everyone will get their tits twisted and bruised about it. Is he within top 100 ATG...possibly within 80 - 100...and Im being rather generous about that ****. To debate it is an active example of futility. SO to avoid such a thing. I'll just say I agree with Bernie here.

I would like to add.....What Jones would have done to Calzaghe in his prime has been made completley irrelevant after the beatdown calzaghe handed Jones. so many people are obssesed with these fantasys match up what if Barrera fought khan in his prime etc.... it doesnt matter...
Ya people accuse ya of being a hater if you argue against how great Calzaghe was. Why would that make someone a hater, could i not just think people are overstating his legacy? He was a great SMW. He was better than Kessler, Lacy, Bika and Reid. All good names, although a Reid rematch would have been good. None have set the world on fire though, which i why Calzaghe fans are hoping Kessler will. He also beat a Hopkins who went on to beat Pavlik. But so did Jermain Taylor, who also won a rematch. He also beat a version of Eubank, but so did Steve Collins and Brits negate this by saying Eubank was old. He was much older and less prepared for Calzaghe but its one of Calzaghe's big wins. The Jones fight was a circus, I wouldnt normally go into it but he was beatin by Tarver and stopped by Johnson. Great resume like, no arguments there, just not ATG in my opinion.
