I can't wait to see Kovalev-Gvozdyk in around 2-3 years time, I'm much more impressed with him than Beterbiev

His surname means 'nail' in his language. Just like 'szpilka' means 'pin', głowa - 'head' and so on. That's why nicknames of some boxers may seem to be weird for people who don't understend their languages.

They're friends with each other. Not sure how good friends they are but I know they like each other and they share the same manager in Egis Klimas so I don't know how keen Klimas would be on them fighting each other. I think he'd rather Gvozdyk went down the WBC route first. Gvozdyk already said he wanted Stevenson now IIRC.

Here's a pic of them exercising together.

I didn't know they trained together, still, one can dream about such a match-up :yep

right now I think Gvozdyk might be too green for Stevenson, but in a year's time I'd give him a very good chance to take that belt from Adonis

I'm not sure Stevenson even lasts another year.
Hes 38 now, and apparently has a tough match up in Alvarez next.

he'll probably get past Alvarez, who's been a bit of a disappointment, but even at 38 he hasn't taken much of a beating yet, and his reflexes and speed still seem to be there

then again, it's difficult to take much punishment when you fight the likes of Karpency, Bika or Sukhotsky

They've never sparred each other and I don't think they've trained or worked out with each other much at all.

Yes, a match up between them would be intriguing a year or two down the road.

I'd like to see Gvozdyk pick up a little more experience before any talk of contesting world titles. He should take on a few top 10-15 guys first.

Gvozdyk-Chilemba would be a decent test sometime in the next 12 months

Chilemba won't help him prepare for anyone. Guys like E-Rod, Oosthuzien, Cleverly, Berrera would be more helpful to develop imo.
