Threetime, in '08 Lewis said he would fight Vitali again for $50mill, in Boxing Monthly... I think that was a fair asking price. :deal Yet Vitali rejected the opportunity. If Lewis had trained supremely hard with Steward for 3months, could he have beaten Vitali again back then? :think
so you think its OK to slam men who go into the ring for a living??and do you think its ok for a fellow fighter to do it aswell??****ing take a sander to your scrotum you tit...
Hey Kal i think Lennox said that tongue in cheek and has never had any ambition to come back since he retired. I think he liked the fact there would be a buzz for him to come back. If he were to come back in 2008 at 43 year old and having not fought in 5 years, i think he'd need more than a 3 month camp to get ready mate. Manny Steward said he wouldn't train him anyway.
You mean YOU can't believe Lewis would have the audacity to dare not kiss the Klitchko's arses and low and behold actually call it like it is and say the competion is sub-standard. Wind your neck in and go and treat your wounded sphincter.:smooch
yeah lewis we know you had epic fights with a "prime" tyson, an old holyfield even back then, rahman who knocked you out , and such classics against Frans Botha Zeljko Mavrovic Henry Akinwande Phil Jackson
i couldnt care about how much lewis admires the k bros...im more worried about the fact a man who done it for a liiving has the cheek and ignorance to say something like that about fellow fighters..and not only that silly ****ers like you who seem to think its ok..no doubt youl prob start a stupid lewis a g thread like the rest of the ****ing idiots on this board..i thought this was a boxing forum not somewhere for people to slander men who put themselves on the line for us..lennox should be ashamed and so should you..esp for trying to turn it into a klit thread
I didn't take it as tongue in cheek... maybe i'm just gullible. atsch The reason I believe a $50mill purse isn't unrealistic for Lewis against Vitali in '08, is that there was large interest in the fight once Vitali pounded Peter for the WBC. Also, the figure doesn't appear unfathomable to me, because in '95 King & Arum said they could put a combined purse of $80mill  on the table for Tyson-Foreman to take place, with $50mill to Tyson & $30mill to Old George. However, Foreman declined the Superfight, claiming he won't take the fight if Don King & his contractual options were involved. I totally agree, I was just going with the premise that he'd be taking on Vitali immediately. When I said 3 months, I meant with 15 rounds hard sparring without headgear, every day of the camp, for the supreme dedication of a Peak Tyson (although his camps never needed to be longer than 8 weeks, we're dealing with a entirely different situation here.) However, I accept that Old Lewis would need several stern tune-ups, just over as short a period as possible, to not age too much further, but shake off some severe rust. Maybe Steward was being serious when he stated that, but i'm sure a large enough suitcase of cash would sharply change his mind... :hey
Of course it's ok for Lewis to say it you tit. Why wouldn't it be? Yes the man has been there and done it so if he ain't happy with what he's seeing he is well within he's rights to have an opinion. Stop talking if's though Lewis actually came on this forum and said it you fool. :blablaSo like i said run along and tell a grown up Lennox Lewis said something that made your bum feel really sore, and please could you treat it for me.
Career high payday? He earned over twice the money for the tyson fight than he was offered for the rematch. Comparing 15 million to 100 million? Your a ****ing idiot
Put it this way Kal, 50 mil is better than the 15 he was originally offered...and yeah i think Manny coulda been persuaded with a tidy sum, IF there was ever any truth in Lewis coming back.
