    The point is money is just as much of a factor in making big fights than legacy. Lewis was not a popular fighter in the early 90's. He didnt represent the payday that a Tyson, Bowe, Holyfield, Foreman or even Holmes represented at the time. Thats why Lewis was fighting in ballrooms in his own home country. It took Frank Bruno to make a stadium fight for Lewis. That didnt change the fact he was fighting his way into contention and Ruddock faced him for a mandatory spot. Realistically Lewis didnt become a main event draw like a Holyfield, Tyson or Bowe, until 1997.
