So? Is there anyone who thinks Wolf has a case? Is there anyone who can lay out some sort of argument that this complaint seriously deserves consideration?
I decided to rewatch the fight paying particular attention to the knockout and my conclusion is that it was a legal punch. I have a few conspiracy theories regarding this complaint to the commission that all are very unlikely to have any merit to them but here goes. 1. The fight was fixed, I've never seen a fighter react this way before when knocked down. The complaint is being filed in an attempt to somehow cover that up...... very unlikely given that nobody is screaming fix and even though I've never seen anyone react to a knockdown like that before I don't believe that it's due to the fight having been fixed. 2. Liakovich is hoping to diminish this loss and keep more credibility in spite of it. The theory would be that some fans or boxing people might read a story about the complaint and not check into it and just take it as something with merit without any further thought. The next time they hear Liakovich's name mentioned they don't think too much about the Ko1 loss that he just suffered since they perceive it to be potentially injust. 3. Liakovich is just trying to draw some attention to himself and trying to state that he's still ready to fight and win. 1 is extremely unlikely but 2 and 3 could work together and might just be true also I don't think that his Ko1 loss to Wilder means that he's somehow a **** fighter, I think that it rather means that Wilder had his number and/or got a bit lucky.
Not even the jury that acquitted OJ would overturn the fight result. Liakovich is being very desperate here.
Valuev used him as a heavy bag 5 years ago. C'mon, who cannot avoid those slow ass punches Valuev threw? Siarhei just stood in front of him all night and Valuev shut him out easily. Siarhei lost the title in his first defense, a fight he was winning easily and only had to listen to his good trainers advise the last round, instead he got deposited onto a ringside table. Helenius and Jennings both beat the hell outta him, especially Helenius. Both Helenius and especially Jennings are nothing special. I might somehow agree that Siarhei is only protesting so that he can convince others that he got an unfair shake so that he can continue to fight. But anyone in the sport worth a damn should be able to see he is WAY past it and shot to hell.
