Never seen this Smith fight, Is he sponsored by Huggies as well?..

  3. I've only seen him once, didn't overly impress me but there's a limit to what you can do against a spoiler who's not very good.

One thing is for sure, being a Gallagher fighter he'll get hit plenty, not that Heffron is slick or anything (in fact he's quite the opposite from what I've seen).

I'd cautiously pick Heffron, think his body punching will be key, he's got some maturing to do though, he's way too macho in the ring at times, when he could quite easily take a step back and pick his shots more.

There's applying pressure and there's being hit for the sake of it. Of course he's not been in with anyone that good yet so he might just know he can take whatever and wants to score a few impressive KO's. We'll see.

My prediction is that this fight won't happen. When I hear of two prospects being matched together I hold no expectations until I actually see them in the ring together. It make sense but in modern boxing that usually means it won't happen.

the public are more demanding now of better match ups and u also have (some) fighters who are prepared to fight anyone in their quest, not allowing their promotors to hold them back .
I love proper matchups, this is why Cleverly bores the tits off me. ( and his dress sense)

Liam Smith has improved a lot from what I've seen- I can see this being a 50-50 fight. Really good quality bout for a title eliminator.

I can't see this being anything other than a war. Both think they
are big punchers and neither has a great defence. Looking forward
to see how the bookies price this one up as well.

How will Liam Smith go from 163 to 147? that is a decent drop in weight.

I agree - don't think this will happen ! Even though i hope it does ! Quite strange fight this both up and coming talents being pitted together very early - publicity stunt

Very good match up although i think Heffron has a touch of class about him and will be a lot harder to hit than Liam
