Just read an article on boxingnews . The link is also on Billy Nelsons twitter.

Poor guy looking at possibly retiring because he can't get a fight or promotion deal. Admits probably made a mistake asking to come out of the contract he had with Warren.

He has a lot still to offer especially at domestic level there is some good fights out there for him, surely he can't retire because he can't get a fight.

Great fighter and the lad should have left Warren years ago and he will be a wealthy man now with Hearn behind him. Rumour has it his face didn’t fit and the brothers wouldn’t accept being mugged off by Warren so they parted company. Ryan his brother a great fighter too so two wasted fighters simply with the wrong promoter. Surely someone out there will sign them?

Cant understand why a Hennessey or McGuigan havent signed them up or Haye for that matter, crazy. Always wanted to see Stephen Smith v Liam Walsh. Both need to rebound, be ideal time for it.

What exactly do you think Hearn would have been able to do with Liam Walsh that frank couldn’t do?

Would Eddie have turned Norwich into a viable fight City?

Frank brought over Gervonta Davis for him, he also had him lined up for a shot at Burns’ WBO at super feather before he had the car crash.

Then you’ve got all the inactivity through injuries.

Nice fighter - but lives in Norwich.

    32 Years old.

Fights a decent world champion , not a great one and gets blasted out in 3 rounds.

Fights at Super Feather when Heavy weight fighting is where its at.

All this adds up to limited options I'm afraid.

Really needed to give Gervonta a fight but didn't and no one needs

    Peace.

What about a fight against Lee Selby for his first fight at super feather? Or a step up for Barret, Woodstock, Sharp He’s defo useful somewhere at domestic level, problem is all his options seem to be with Frank (bar Stephen Smith) and you don’t know how sour his exit was.

I think Frank got fed up tbh.
Liam wasn't reliable going into fights, with numerous pull outs. He pulled out on Gary Sykes 3 times as well as others and some of the excuses weren't good enough, apparently.
I think the final straw came when Frank was arranging a comeback fight for him after the Davis performance . They got the lad from Wales, Craig Evans he agreed but apparently wanted paying well as he saw it as a tough fight, which he was right it was.
Then the story goes, Frank wanted Liam to take a lower than expected purse so he could chip some towards. Liam disagreed and the rest is history

People are so up Hearns bum on here.

Hearn would have made him a rich man and a world champ apparently.Walshes inactivity was mainly due to himself.

I still think his the best of our super feathers. Him and Smith is a very good fight id love to see. Barring Smith don't see any of the other domestic lads beating him. Tho the fact his been out so long cud go against him.
