No he wasn't, actually I'm not sure if hes ever put anyone down for the count

Spinks (father and son) had little power

Look at the number of stoppage wins he has say up to the Mitchel fight. You dont get that ratio of stoppages without at least solid power.

and there was a champion lightweight( NY commission) back in 1925 called Jimmy Goodrich whad about 6 ko's in 114 bouts! Dont know much about him but he went about 38 fights without a ko win at one stage

    I dont know about Corbett.

He seems to have been at least a fair puncher.

Maybe it's a stretch but Mitchell(20 pounds lighter and past his best) is his only devestating ko and he rarely dropped opponents.

    Best example - Niccolino Locche.

    Only 14 KOs.

All stopped on their feet, BTW the Mitchell stoppage was BS, Mitchell was the last fighter to throw a punch

A heavyweight who won a world title at cruiserweight was Orlin Night train Norris... He was quite a light puncher for such a compact muscular man..

If a guy lacks power you look for a lot of fights going to the scorecards not a lot of fights ending by technical knockout.

Maxie Rosenbloom and Jimmy Young didnt stop a lot of people on their feet for example.

Willie Pastrano (over a career) certainly deserves mention here.

How 'bout Juan Diaz. Punches with conviction, but not alotta stopping power.

Over a long distinguished career, Loche is right up there with Rosenbloom.
