As a big british boxer fan, i only turned the corner on him this week and the fight was on at 5.30am on a sunday morning so guessing most didnt see it.

The poster above is right... Took froch as while to get to the level he did. I use to turn up at the Nottingham Arena on a Froch fight night and buy £75 tickets for £30 from the desk (up until he won the world title).

Froch was never the biggest thing ever until he had a couple good rivals like kessler and groves.

If Degale gets a couple of good rivals ...maybe GGG people will watch.

There's massive difference between choosing to do something and being forced to do it.

He's still doing it though and for all we know he would still be doing it even if he had a big fan base.

Also he could still choose to fight at home or fight easy opposition but he doesn't seem to want to do that.

I think he likes the money.

For what was on the table the biggest payday was in Canada so he took it. No being 'forced'. Bute fight was on the table worth a boatload and he probably believed he Would be in and out like froch

He made $2M for the Bute fight, and $1.5M from the Dirrell one. Why wouldn't he travel for that kind of money?

I think he's done a great job raising his profile on the world scene and I think he's the only fighter at 168 that could give Ward problems.

    Agreed. :good

That could be a great sell, too. Two Olympic Gold Medalists fighting to unify a division? I'd tune in.

How when Ward has no belt and has moved up a division?

Forget the ABC belts. Whoever gets the Ring Title is the best.

I thought he was WBA Champ? But yeah, he has apparently moved up to LHW.
