He did well and could have beaten him had he pushed a bit harder and took more risks. But guess he knew any more offence might of meant him getting ko
Campbell despite his slow start fought really well, but like mentioned above he knew he was susicpebale to a counter KO so didn't step on the gas as much as he could of.
Indeed. Made of strong stuff, Luke. Linares deffo respected him ...a lot. There was none of the rushing in with 20 punches stuff we've seen against Crolla. He obviously knew Luke could hurt him if he tried that. So where does Luke go from here?
Great effort from Campbell, he showed some lovely hands and movement. It does frustrate me a little though with the two right hand jabs he throws that’s followed by a telegraphed left hook body shot that a P&O ferry could move out the way of. The knockdown cost him in the end. I think he’ll do a Groves and land a world title at his next attempt.
Like a few other posters indicated, I didn't expect that much from Campbell in this fight but he did well. He will definitely learn from this.
He's obviously a great boxer he made linares look normal at times and competed 50 50 for most of the fight.. had he not been knocked down I could see an argument for a draw or loss by a rd
Campbell did much better than I expected him to do. Respect to him he gave Linares a very good fight.
