It's not going to be as simple as appears to make the match. Lindsay is contracted to Hayemaker - so they'll get a big wedge of whatever Lindsay is offered as a purse. Then of course, there is the issue of options in the fight contract, should there be one drafted. Will Hayemaker let him potentially leave the stable ? What is Hayemaker's future anyway ?
He should take it - if he wins, brilliant. If he loses, he'll have an better idea of how far he needs to go to get to world-class level.
too early IMO. Think he should look to win the lonsdale outright 1st get a few more fights under his belt then go for a world title. dont see much point going the euro route if appleby fights for and wins it dont see lindsay gaining much more out fighting him again think would be the same outcome.
Why not. If he isn't ready then he'll learn something from it anyway and can come back and try again, who cares if he loses.
It would set him back and at his age he is already going against mother time. He needs to get busy domestically and hope a vacant title arises
derry boxed his head of four all the 9 roudns an he got a lucky punch so why not av a rematch in lindsey home city?
liked him in last fight but still a long way to go think he should have few more domestic fights then go for it
Can you actually make a post that isn't about Derry Matthews ? If Derry's looking at rematches he should start with Harry Ramogoadi.
lindsay is a step up from domestic level but not world level yet.even so defending his british title would probly give him a bigger payday then fighting cruz in mexico.one more defence then euro title
