Matthews wins round 8 And we all know what happened in round 9. This was a very close fight, if Matthews was boxing Lindsays head off in the early rounds then you have to concede that Lindsay was boxing Matthews head off for the rest of the rounds bar the 8th. I'm not taking anything away from Matthews, he is a very talented boxer, as he shows in rounds 1-3 but I am fed up of hearing that Lindsay was being outboxed the whole fight cos that just aint the case.
what is the truth then...because as i see it the bbbc made the match for lindsay-simpson to take place by january 2010...it seemed all parties were happy with this...simpson even made such utterances that he was prepapared to come to belfast...now simpson has went in the opposite direction, which can only be described as exit strategy to get out of a lindsay match-up:deal

For the last while, we've been hearing how Simpson was going to destroy Lindsay, , from Dunky, we've been hearing how the fight should be at the Barras and how he'll fight all Lindsay fans outside in the car park. Now after the BBBofC, have given the green light for the fight, Simpson is going to fight Bell and his management don't want to fight Lindsay at the moment. This is disappointing to say the least, although I don't think Simpson has bottled it, I do question why Lindsay should hang about waiting for him. Martin, IMHO, should defend the title once more then move onto European level, Simpson and his management have had their chance, his fans have spouted on about KO Martin, it is not happening. If the fight does eventually happen, I'm even more confident now of Martin winning. Cheers

Lindsay will be found out sooner rather than later. I would like to see him in with matthews again. That way can put to bed the argument derry was way ahead before being caught with that massive shot! IMO opinio i had derry 4 ahead!
