john is a much diffrent and much improved fighter since coming to my gym,quality sparring with burns,limond and carrauna has helped a bundle,john would beat paul now and comfortablly imo,but paul would need to join the Q as well just like john did when he got beat.
It would be a good way to prove he is an improved fighter though. I would have thought after Simpson's recent fights Appleby would be the more reluctant to get in the ring with him.
I'd love to see simpson put things straight with Appleby he's muh the better fighter. That said Lindsay is going to be a whole lot different stlistically to Trusky whose lack of pop was massively inhibiting in his fights with John. That said I think Johns getting better with the combination of trainers. He's a quality little fighter and represents traditional boxing men.

Lindsay is fighting in november the simpson fight wont happen until the new year. I think hes fighting on the Haye undercard
Read about Martin hoping to get a fight in before facing Simpson last week, nothing officially confirmed yet, according to boxrec. Hope this does happen tho' before the Simpson fight comes off, as to me, he hasn't been active enough this year, I appreciate there have been problems with Haymaker and a tv deal etc, but Martin is still relatively inexperienced, a tune up fight before such a big fight as Simpson can only be a good thing :good
derry catch yourself on mate u say u didnt lose a round in the lindsay fight and u got a broken eye socket a broken nose 20 or 30 stitches not really sure how many stitches thoe and waken up with a crowd round u . this is how i scored the fight and i was there . u won the first second round plus the knock down so ur up 3 rounds up right .then lindsay takes the 3rd 4th 5th 6th 7th derry u took the 8th then derry got ko in the 9th derry try watching the fight with no commentary on and u will no what i mean. :deal
underdog i think derrys right ive watched the fight many times, i gave derry 5 rounds martin 2 and 1 level until martin stopped him, derry knows the score with boxing i believe he can get back into contention although i'd like to see him move up a weight as hes got the frame to do so and he would feel stronger as well, just a thought!

The very fact that you mention 'war' tells me you know Lindsay is gonna have his work cut out to win. Martin has had his good luck. Irish eyes smiled upon him when that ref gave him a dodgy stoppage win over a young Appleby in barbaric circumstances, when scottish women were being set upon by Martins horrible fans. Well, welcome to the world of John Simpson, the hardest wee bassa from Greenock who isnt going to freeze like a young Appleby... Wait a minute. Can someone tell me if Derry boxer is indeed the REAL Derry Matthews? Maybe the younger generation here are used to boxers posting, but to an old school poster like me, it humbles me when fighters come on here. Why? Cos it just does.
