Dib's not much above the level of Simpson at this stage really. I don't think Martin's ducking anyone - I hate that bull****. It's all about risk-reward. Fights Dib, probably beats him, gets a shot at a title. Fights Simpson, achieves nothing except for domestic bragging rights if he wins. If he loses, he's back at the bottom of the pile.
he already has proved it by beating the brish champion appelby and matthews the fight with simpson would have been another win for martin , martin is a more polished version of simpson i feel , would be great if it happened for a world title in the near future

to be fair you could say a simular thing about Ricky Burns. Beating Kevin O'hara and a shot Michael Gomez does not make you the best in Britain but you would not accuse him of ducking Skykes, Morris and Foster as he has a bigger fight lined up.
See the thing is mate john was cotractual obliged to fight stephen bell and the board wouldnt let him out of it to fight martin, but martins team have had every opportunity since december to make the fight but we don't hear the phone ringing!:hi: Yes stephen smith's a 10 fight pro but he's very very good and to be honest is the only other person in the division who could give john a real good scrap don't you think so? im sure martin and john will fight some time if not domestically hopefully major titles.
