Theres two sides to every story.Froch was moving up the ladder and wanted a piece of the pie,Calzaghe though was moving on to bigger and better things,he thought a fight against Froch was a backward step so understandably he wasn't interested.I like both guys, but i dont think Froch would have beaten Calzaghe, and Joe was effectively a one handed fighter for the last few years of his career. If Froch beats Taylor im sure the bitching about Calzaghe will stop.

    What are you talking about?

Froch only started talking about Calzaghe after the Tatevosyan fight, but only tentatively, even then.

After the Dodson fight, for example, there was not one mention of Calzaghe from Froch in the post fight interview. Froch was still talking about going the Euro route at that stage.

It was really only after the Reid fight that Froch started believing he could cut it at world class level. It was only then that his campaign for a fight against Calzaghe commenced. By then, of course, Calzaghe had beaten Kessler and unified the division and was looking for bigger and better things.

In other words, Froch only started calling Calzaghe out when he realised Calzaghe was ready to vacate the division (i.e. when there was no chance of them fighting anymore).

What a massive **** Carl Froch is. Calzaghe should enquire about a restraining order.

I've seen nothing to suggest Froch has anything to trouble Taylor, but I'm prepared to be proven wrong.

What is Froch's beef with Calazghe other than he ddin't give him a fight? It has to be deeper than that. With that said I'm starting to warm up to Froch.

    Froch should focus on Taylor.

He is obviously trying to get Calzaghe out of retirement though.

Froch beats Taylor and I wouldn't bet against Froch-Calzaghe.

A lot of what Froch says about Joe is entirely correct. His resume does suck for a fighter of his great ability. However the idea that Calzaghe ducked Froch, and 'everybody' knows that Joe retired to avoid a fight with him is delusional at best. If Froch seriously believes this utter bollocks then he has severe psychological problems.

I've never rooted for an american fighter over a Brit before but I really hope Taylor beats the crap outta him this weekend!

Froch is to Calzaghe what Tarver was to Jones Jr.

They want to be the guy they talk **** about.

I think Joe should get a restraining order or just visit Froch, come to an agreement over a fee, bend Carl over and give it to him good and hard like Froch clearly wants it.

Then Calzaghe is a bit richer and Froch has got what he wanted. Both are happy :good
